Help us make Zion the Zinnia Capital of Illinois! All it takes is to be willing to grow Zinnias in your front yard, whether in a pot or in your landscape! Planting is best done from Mid-May through Mid-June. Enter your yard in the Zinnias for Zion Most Beautiful Yard Contest! FREE seeds from April 24th through June 16th at Zion Township, Zion Park District, ZB Library, or Zion City Hall!

There are so many ways to participate in making Zion the Zinnia Capital. Every July, take part in our coloring contest when you dine in at Culvers. Starting in July, stop by our You Pick’em Field by the Zion Train Station and enjoy picking your own bouquet of Zinnias! Or, take part in our Most Beautiful Yard Contest! Zinnia Yard Judging will take place in the 1st week of August by the Illinois Dunesland Garden Club

Join us on August 19th, 2023 from 1-5pm for our Zinnia’s for Zion festival! There will be a Craft Fair hosted at our Zion Historical Society, Zinnia/Monarch Photo Contest, Best Cut Zinnia Flower Competition, Most Beautiful Yard Contest Awards, and more! We hope to see you there!
